Research and Development Center
 The research and development center of Dongtai Marine Fittings Co.,Ltd was established in 1988, including marine products research and development department, military products designing room, technical department, and new products testing room. For the past twenty years, the research and development center has been devoted to the developing and researching of marine shafting and rudder matching products. The center now enjoys 58 technicians with 2 senior engineers of professional rank, 8 senior engineers, and 29 engineers whose major ranges from steel casting, copper casting, machinery designing and manufacturing, turbine designing, heat treatment to rubber.
Recently the research and development center has gained 18 national patents among which the split oil lubrication stern shaft sealing device, rolling intermediate bearing, and floating double-ended bulkhead sealing device have bridged the national gap. The center also cooperated with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Wuhan 701 institute, Shanghai Ship Design institute,708 institute and Shanghai Jiaotong University and jointly developed stern shaft sealing device for submarine, large pressure intermediate bearing, grounding device, and jigger device. Meanwhile, the center developed marine tiller sealing device, SMA-Ⅱand SMC water lubrication stern shaft sealing device creatively and independently. It owns intellectual properties of most products.
With the efforts of all the technicians, the products were awarded several honors, such as the second prize for progress in science and technology by China Shipbuilding Industry, the third place of national prize for progress in science and technology, new products of national priority. |
